J. Anthony Jewelers

From silos and dentures to diamonds and gold, J Anthony Jewelers has a colorful history…

Their partnership began early. Joe graduated from Marquette University in 1978 with a degree in Marketing while Amy earned her degree in Dental Technology from Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) in 1980. Armed with new jobs and new hopes, Joe and Amy Ziemba headed to Ocala, Florida where Joe was employed by Schuld Manufacturing as a sales representative for the industrial silo and agricultural division, and Amy transitioned from creating dental moldings for crowns and bridges, to work as

a goldsmith apprentice. Enjoying new jobs, new locations, and most importantly, a new son, Benjamin, life was full. However, life has it’s interesting twists. Unexpectedly, the division for which Joe worked closed. With a supportive wife and his successful sales background, Joe turned to diamonds!

Changing course proved to be the spark Joe and Amy needed to be fully partnered not only in marriage, but in a stunning jewelry business as well. Together they moved home to Wisconsin with the goal of owning their own independent jewelry store. Not just any run of the mill store however, they wanted theirs to stand out as a destination and a beacon of family, service, quality and integrity. A place where people feel welcome, valued and well cared for from design to repair.

For the next five years, Joe and Amy worked hard to develop their skills. Joe trained in both national and independent jewelry stores, while Amy honed her skills as a top notch goldsmith, designing, creating and repairing customer’s precious gems.

In 1987 came the opportunity they were waiting for…the chance to purchase a small, independent jewelry store in downtown Neenah, affectionately know as Faye’s Fine Jewelry! With Joe’s business knowledge and Amy’s goldsmith skills well perfected, Faye’s was destined to become a full service jewelry store. Browse, purchase, repairs and follow-up, but that wasn’t enough for Joe and Amy.

Their vision included building and fostering life-long relationships with their customers and the community. To that end, Joe began hosting gemstone shows and included the exclusive Antwerp Diamond Direct Program to give customers the highest quality product in the area. With a desire to be fully connected to the community, Joe and Ben are very active in the Neenah Rotary Club. Joe, as a former Rotary president and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship, was the main catalyst of Seafood Fest and initiated the Strive Program between the Rotary and the Neenah Joint School District.

As years passed, word spread and the business flourished. Three remodeling and expansion projects later, the quaint little shop in the downtown could no longer house their ever expanding business. In the fall of 1998, Joe and Amy purchased and named what you know today as J. Anthony Jewelers at 220 S. Commercial Street in Neenah.

With their son, Ben, by their side, J. Anthony Jewelers truly is a family business. Joe continues to design amazing, one of a kind pieces, and heads the business. Amy, a life long learner, continues to educate herself in the latest techniques of jewelry repair and

Restoration making miracles happen daily at her gold bench. Ben, with a degree in Operations Management, manages the day to day operations of the business while also working in sales and certified quartz watch repairs.
